This summer, a unique and inclusive camp experience is coming to Moraga, CA for neurodivergent youth. Partnering with Quantum Kids, St. Mary's Counseling Program, POEMS, and STEPS ABA Services, this camp is tailored for children and young adults aged 5-21 facing mild to moderate behavioral, emotional, or social challenges.

What sets this camp apart is its emphasis on empathy-focused activities designed to promote community engagement, mentorship, and the development of responsibility. By incorporating a variety of activities such as aerial circus, performance, gardening, fishing, archery, woodworking, and gymnastics, campers have the opportunity to explore their interests in a supportive environment. In particular, the camp aims to cultivate empathy among its participants, nurturing their ability to understand and share the feelings of others. Through engaging in group activities and building relationships with their peers, campers learn valuable social skills and develop a deeper appreciation for the experiences of those around them. The involvement of POEMS Parents of Exceptional Moraga students further enhances the camp's community-driven approach, providing additional support and resources for both campers and their families. With a focus on building connections and fostering a sense of belonging, this camp offers a holistic experience that promotes personal growth and emotional well-being. As we look forward to the upcoming camp season, we are excited to see the positive impact it will have on neurodivergent youth in Moraga. By creating a nurturing and inclusive environment that prioritizes empathy and community engagement, this camp is not only providing a fun and enriching experience for its participants but also laying the foundation for lifelong social and emotional development.
